MP3 Players To Have Volume Limited

On Monday the European Union decided that it wants makers of popular MP3 music players to minimize their maximum volume settings in order to protect the hearing of users. The European Consumer Affairs Commissioner Meglena Kuneva is quoted as saying, “If you want to enjoy your favorite songs in 20 or 30 years time, turn the volume down.” The new default would see maximum volume lowered, however users could return to the allegedly unsafe sound levels if desired.
