CAN’T PAY, SAYS ICELAND

As soon as the Landsbankii, parent of Icesave bank collapsed in 2008, an icy issue was sure to be produced. Now, Britain and the Netherlands are demanding money from Iceland for the losses incurred to them in the collapsed online bank. Iceland, on the other hand, simply says that firstly it can’t pay and secondly, it won’t pay. Now, it’s all a matter of who’s going to oblige to compensate foreign savers.

Support For Digital Transition

The EFADs, the directors of the national film agencies of Europe, have claimed an urgent need for support from the public support in the arena of the digitalization of cinemas. EFAD says that one third of European cinemas will soon be gone if a fast intervention does not occur. They believe that the benefits of digitalization will allow for a much broader access to a wider variety of films than currently available to audiences today.
